Led by Sheikh Khairuddin al-Hadi, head of the Astan’s Dar-ol-Quran Center, the delegation held talks with seminary scholars Hojat-ol-Islam Sayed Ahmed al-Ishkevari and Hojat-ol-Islam Sayed Mehdi al-Querishi, Qafqn.org website reported.
The two scholars hailed the Quranic activities of the center and stressed cooperation between the center and Islamic seminaries in Quranic fields.
During the visit to Najaf, the delegation also met with Sheikh Hussain al-Turabi, head of al-Kafeel Institute.
At the meeting, the two sides agreed on expanding Quranic cooperation.
Quranic activities have significantly developed in Iraq since the 2003 overthrow of former dictator Saddam Hussein.
There has been a growing trend of Quranic programs such as competitions, recitation sessions and educational programs held in the country in recent years.
